Creating the best content for commerce, soona has emerged as the go-to resource for all things online content. Alex worked for them for 3 years as an Editor, Senior Editor, & eventually Quality Control Manager of Post Production. Editing and approving thousands of photos, videos, and gifs for clients both large and small. Most client facing work cannot be shared, but the few shown here were edited for soona’s marketing purposes.

Trips are worth remembering. Bringing a camera everywhere affords the opportunity to capture and crystalize little moments that otherwise might fade from memory. These little edits are meant reflect a sort of dream-state. How they appear in the minds of those who remember them. The text to guide what is happening to those who weren’t there.

Commissioned by University of Minnesota Duluth Alumni Relations to serve as a send-off to the UMD Class of 2019 (Alex’s graduating class). Footage taken at the 2019 Grad Party held at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth, Minnesota. Played before commencement at AMSOIL Area.
Bringing stills to life. A series of experimental works; animating photos and graphics with subtle movements.
First experiment with photo animation for a class project in After Effects. All photos include relatives of Alex found in old family albums.
In loving memory of Christine FIERO (1967 - 2022)
“My mother passed away from cancer in the fall of 2022 at the age of 55. Before she died, she wrote up what she called a “life sketch” summarizing her life in her own words. Having previously digitally copied and archived our old family tapes, I wanted to help her tell her story. This is a deeply personal video but will forever be the most important I have created.” - Alex
